ASME SA562 C-Mn-Ti alloy steel plates’ specification covers standard requirements for titanium-bearing carbon steel plates intended for welded glass lined pressure vessels or other applications where the presence of free-iron carbide would be deleterious to the coating. The steel shall be killed and thermally treated to produce the required grain refinement specification. Heat and product analyses shall be performed wherein the material shall conform to the required chemical composition for carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, copper, and titanium. The steel plate shall conform to tensile requirements such as tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation.
